Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 29, 2026

At Pack6 LLC, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy. This policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use AppCheck ("Service").

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect includes:

  • Account Information: When you sign up for AppCheck using Google, GitHub, or other authentication providers, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture to create and manage your account.
  • App Analysis Data: When you use AppCheck to analyze your application, we collect metadata about your app (such as Bundle ID, App Name, Version) and artifacts generated during the analysis process, including screenshots, logs, and compliance findings.
  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you use our Service, such as the pages you view and the features you interact with, to help us improve the user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Service Provision: We use your Account Information and App Analysis Data to provide the core functionality of AppCheck, including checking your app against App Store guidelines, generating compliance reports, and maintaining your compliance history.
  • Service Improvement: We use Usage Data to understand how our Service is used and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communication: We may use your email address to send you important updates about your account, the Service, or changes to this Privacy Policy.

3. Data Storage and Retention

Unlike some local-only tools, AppCheck is a cloud-based service that enables collaboration and history tracking.

  • Cloud Storage: Your Account Information, App Analysis Data, and Usage Data are stored on secure servers provided by our third-party infrastructure partners (including Convex).
  • Retention: We retain your App Analysis Data (including runs and findings) to allow you to view your compliance history and track improvements over time. However, raw artifacts (such as screenshots and large log files) are automatically deleted after 7 days. You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
  • User Control: You have full control over your data. You can delete specific apps, which will permanently delete all associated runs and findings. You can also delete your entire account through the settings.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

  • Third Parties: We do not share your personal information with third parties, except as necessary to provide the Service. This includes:
    • Infrastructure Providers: We use Convex to host our database and backend services.
    • Analytics: We use PostHog to understand product usage.
    • Authentication: We use third-party providers (like Google and GitHub) to authenticate users.
  • No Sale of Data: We do not sell your personal information or App Analysis Data to third parties.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard encryption to protect your data during transmission and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel and systems necessary to provide the Service. While we take steps to ensure the protection of your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. User Control and Rights

You have full control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated data through the Service's settings. If you need assistance, you can contact us to request data deletion.

7. Compliance with GDPR and CCPA

GDPR Compliance: If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

CCPA Compliance: If you are a resident of California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to request disclosure of personal information we have collected, the right to request deletion of personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal data. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
